Join us to learn how to assess children and young people living with medical complications associated with excess weight.

This webinar seeks to raise awareness about a range of clinics that are aiming to manage and support this group and are due to be piloted across the country over the next two years.

From this session, you'll gain confidence in assessing, referring and managing children who are living with excess weight.

Learning objectives include:

  • Know about the “Complications related to excess weight (CEW)” clinics that are being commissioned across the country
  • Know about how a tier 1 to tier 4 obesity offer can be mapped across a locality
  • Describe the assessment, investigation and management of a range of complications associated with excess weight in children and young people, including musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, neurological and respiratory
  • Demonstrate approaches to sensitively discussing weight management with children and young people
  • Describe the association between childhood obesity and mental health
