This meeting is being held as a webinar series over three evenings to methodically allow participants to learn epidemiology, clinical care, novel therapeutics and biomarkers in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and diabetes. There will be an exciting panel discussion with enthusiastic world-class speakers and experts.

Join these webinars to discover the burden of NAFLD in general and within the diabetes population, and to understand the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of NAFLD and diabetes. Participants will have the opportunity to interact and contribute to the discussion with specialists in their fields regarding clinical cases where there was diagnostic uncertainty or management difficulty.

These webinars are held in association with the RSM Gastroenterology and Hepatology Section, ABCD and SfE.

Learning objectives include:

  • Understand histopathology in NAFLD and the effect that diabetes therapies have on the liver
  • Understand the key scoring systems, diagnostic approaches and imaging techniques in NAFLD
  • Obtain an understanding of the current state of the art of research in NAFLD
  • Gain up to date knowledge of the effect of the microbiome in NAFLD
